For me I don’t think Cashmere complimented by white have enough of a contrast.

Thank you both, the worktops are the same one, it’s just the light they were taken with. I would say the second one is more accurate. So far we haven’t got any other fixed colours in the room. I would say it’s a medium light room, bright in the morning as the sun is at the front. The unit next to the oven is a big larder cupboard which I love.

Agreed with above in that cashmere and white mixture doesn't provide enough contrast so will look a bit off. So pick one of them and stick with it for everything. Or pick one of them for the runs along the wall and then something else for the island that has more contrast - could be a colour or a deeper neutral colour or a wood/wood-effect. I think you should choose a paler worktop - those dark colours are dated and will suck the light out of the room, especially with light-coloured units - too much contrast. Worktop doesn't have to be a stark white, a more creamy-white could work to keep it light but also warm. But do get samples of everything and look at them altogether to make sure they work together before choosing.

If it’s east facing I’d also go for a light worktop. i inherited a dark green and black granite worktop in my east kitchen, fine in the morning but not thereafter when you’re mainly using it

Most people go with a light worktop with a cashmere kitchen, along with white walls, as cashmere can be difficult to team with other colours. I’m afraid the dark worktop doesn’t look good in my opinion (sorry!) and woukd darken the kitchen. A White Island with cashmere looks a bit bland, I would keep the kitchen all cashmere.
