Green bed dressing dilemma

last month

We had almost finished decorating our bedroom and then we decided impulsively to upgrade our bed to a super king as we needed a new mattress and we thought we'd go all out. So now I've got green bed! I'm unsure how to go with the dressing of the room with the bed to finish it off. I don't think I would've paired setting plaster with the green if we hadn't already painted but I think it goes ok?
I'm planning on having white curtains made for affordability.

Thank you for your comment. I'm thinking Lighter tones rather than dark as the painting and bed are so dark? Dk you think linen atyle curtains is the way to go?

Thanks for the suggestions. We have considered moving the partition wall and have asked our architect to draw sketches of the same but he's not keen on the idea! Great suggestions so far - any further ideas much appreciated!

There are numerous ways you can incorporate your color scheme - rug, drapery, bedding, wallpaper, etc. It depends how much you want to change or add. Going with white bedding and adding layers of colors (coverlette, pillows, shams and throw) is a good way to dress the bed. Decide if you want to paint room, have a focal wall or use wallpaper. Adding width BEHIND THE BED - with a headboard (which doesn't have to be a "headboard"; it could be fabric, collection of mirrors, collection of pictures, a farm gate!, small chairs or stools) across the entire width. Matching bedside tables/bookcases/chests/ with LAMPS - useful storage for extra books, extra bedding, etc. CURTAINS always warm up a room. People will always feel colder away from home - provide an extra blanket or duvet to add to the bed. I notice there is no WARDROBE. Not really necessary for overnight guests (provide hooks on the back of the door) but useful for storing your out-of-season coats, etc. There is plenty of room behind the door. Buy one on eBay and paint it to suit your colour scheme.

Morning You say that privacy isn't an issue so I would dress the main window and the small window on the left hand wall with roman blinds. I would mount the blinds outside of the recess t make more of a feature and not steal any of the light. Regarding the two narrow windows I would leave them undressed and get two matching vases, ornaments etc and place them on the window sill to make a feature. I think that blinds would be too fussy and would detract from the rest of the room. If you wanted privacy you could always add some frosting to the two narrow windows The furniture you've chosen is beautiful I'm sure it will look fab!
