Ikea soderhamn alternatives

I really love the style of the soderhamn sofa but I want something much more comfortable. I am happy to purchase a cover separately to achieve the style. The sofa must be l shape (with a chaise) and have a maximum width of 1.8 metres. Any suggestions?

A 2 seater sofa and ottoman will give the same look as a chaise, and probably offer more choices. A Google search for "2 seater chaise sofa" gives quite a few options.

Thanks guys, in my own head I was thinking mismatched chairs, maybe painted in a neutral shabby chic kind of way, but I'm really impressed with both the ghost chair and the tobias as it makes it all about the table but definitely puts a modern twist on it. Any other photos out there of the ghost or tobias in situ?

Love your carpet choices here! I noticed that there no artwork on the walls yet. This will elevate the mood of the room since you will need an upper emphasis once your room is anchored with the carpet. It is easier to decorate around a rug, the one you love for sure, than around a focal piece, such as art. After you choose from any of the beautiful carpets above that work with your interior, take a photo of the room with the carpet installed in it. Have fun looking for the artwork that best sings with your carpet. and that grabs you. After you have the choice of art up on the wall, look for small accessories of colour of shape, size and texture that work with the whole composition last. Do not forget something living such as plants, which take the sterility out of the room, especially neutral walls and natural floors.

Hi. I think the overall look is good. Large tiles do make a room feel bigger as the pattern is less busy however I've seen the hex tiles in small bathrooms and they seem to work as your inspiration pic shows. I would probably lose the flowers though if I'm honest. Do you want the window for light or ventilation? Could a decent extractor be sufficient? I'm thinking that back ŵall could look quite busy. Is there any opportunity to change the layout? Moving soil pipes can be a little costly but could the sink be moved although ideally the loo would be hidden round the corner. You can pick up some great looking vintage or vintage style taps on ebay although unsure if the quality of the repro ones, If the layout can't be changed maybe have a corner loo and ŵall hung trough sink and put some storage in on the rhs as you come through the door depending on how you plan for the shower to open

Hello there... I hope I can be of some help as I have almost an identical sitting room - I will just share with you my sitting room this year!! All the walls started out in Dulux Timeless colour so I wanted to add an accent colour- like you, I have one end of the room that is patio doors. So the opposite wall to those, I chose as an accent wall - I know a lot of people suggest not having an accent wall but perhaps having horizontal painted stripes of colour etc... But as I was doing the painting, I knew I would have made a real hash of that!! So the third pic is my first attempt at an accent wall - The Greene Paint company - colour Bassalt. This was nice but I just got bored of it - it worked well against the richness of the wood floor etc and was very much a statement but in a few months I just couldn't settle with it. After several coats of white I have now settled on Farrow & Balls colour Lamp Room Grey. I know this seems all very neutral, but from the second photo you will see I have gone for cream curtains with neutral vertical pom-poms - but, by doing all this, I can now change the accent colour in this room at the drop of a hat and quite importantly - INEXPENSIVELY! For instance, if I wanted to, for Xmas, if I was going to spend a lot of time in that room, I could a. Go for red and cream cushions and create a Scandinavian look! Or b. Go for silver beaded cushions and silver candle jars and have a winter wonderland look! And equally in the summer, I could go for pastel pink floral cushions and a vase of delicate roses to bring the garden into the sitting room or just keep it neutral with ivory roses and a hint of lime green. So my advice would be to keep the expensive things neutral and then you can alter the in expensive things as you go along. I also think one expensive piece in any room is a good investment - be it a huge oversized pewter bowl or a something similar - that again is neutral in colour but is a statement piece.
