has anyone painted their walls,ceilings,door and arches all the same c

last month

I’m building new house and want to keep it simple colour wise,I have a white/ beige I like snd want to put it everywhere
Is this going to look really boring
Accents taupes,tans etc panelling,timber kitchen,

I don't think it's boring at all but then I am virtually allergic to "pops of colour", "colour drenching" whatever you want to call it. I'm no wallpaper fan either except for the odd pattern. If your house is modern I think a single colour would suit it better at least to start with. You can always change the colour of particular spaces later as you get a feel for the light and how it moves around the space. It also depends on what style you choose.

A lot of new builds are all painted white; walls, ceilings, doors, etc. It provides a good base for adding colour in furnishings and decorative items. And, as Isla says, you can always change it later.

I would use the same flooring throughout, give your separation of spaces visually with decor and I love Vancouver Day from C2 paint I have it all through my house in different strengths, very neutral so almost anything goes with it.

Hi ...Zaz I am not sure what went on here in Houzz .... While I have been away ..(sneezing coughing sweating) Whatever it was Move on from it !! as best you can ... Otherwise these things eat away at you ... And being on a downer that's not good for anyone ..........including you .... You have a Talent truly you do Lots see it ...... Even if you can't ....... So Put it toooooo good use If not for yourself ........ Then for others so they might enjoy it Seeing others smile from Something you have done Is gift.... I know I love toooooo Give that gift of a smile ..... Paint the doors black matt and the fames cream add silver crome door furniture. Huge silver mirror above the covered radiator then add a runner of any colour you like and match it with the lamps and lighting. hey presto done.

Thanks Decoenthusiaste! Yes that sofa is unavailable here and hard to find anything similar in local stores, but I may have one made up! So yes I’m using the images you post as inspiration and hope to find similar items here, I also love the grey Scandanavian sofa ideas you had earlier, and will use them as inspiration to get a lighter replacement. The blind on my window is screwed in place, but I could easily replace it with something that would let in more light, like the top down blinds (which are new to me!). I’m really glad no one has thought the absence of curtains an issue, as light is scarce here & I prefer the no curtains look. I do agree we should move the car to another part of our drive to get a nicer view out. A radiator cover that could double as a shelf would work well I think, I love the bespoke one, how cool! Also good to find out that you can get ones that allow the heat to rise. Re the music centre, I might replace with an iPod doc with speakers as Glo kindly suggested, In meantime I might cover it (and the dreaded TV!) with a piece of framed art leaning from the floor, aware that’ll be another competing focal point, but hopefully a nicer one! Thanks a lot for the tip re dimensions for a piece of art over the sofa and a coffee table, both of which are on my list to get, I would’ve had no clue re this and it’s fantastic to discover that there are certain rules which, if you apply them, can make your room work visually! Thanks again for the brilliant advice, I really appreciate it.
