Pergola paint colour ideas please
Recently moved here and need to replace the pergola roof panels so thinking of also painting the posts. Don't want to block or detract from the view.
Really not sure what colour to use as there's a brown conservatory to the right, plastic shed to the left with dark brown door pale cream sides and the patio under the pergola is dark grey.

Other colors that match with a mix of black and white would be strong colors as red or green, but I think they are too colorfully to pain living walls. Comments (20)I agree deepen the color, don't change it and yes art art art! maybe lessen the presence of the brick with the earlier suggestion of the metal cogs its and use traditional artwork pics/nature/paintings on the painted wall. I also like the idea to paint the part of the wall that juts out in a darker shade of the same color. Now you have lots to consider and lots to dismiss as well. Comments (9)Carpet on the stairs will help with sound! But if stairs are good enough, just paint them all white! Add a stencil on the riser - numbers or a saying is always fun...or even add family member names. Do you like bold colors? If so, the handrail wall could be a green apple. Something that works w the pretty stain glass. Also upstairs, there looks to be space to make that a built in bookcase. As for under the stairs, you can take out studs but you can build deep shelves and give it a stair step look. If you have large gym bags, make some large enough to fit sliding them in. Whenever we put in storage like that, we add plugs for iPads and cellphones. Easy way to remember to charge them! Comments (5)Consider going with tone on tone textured tiles. Keep it classical. Sometimes you can introduce a slightly darker contrasting grout color to accentuate the tile shape or design. The new trend is moving away from the subway tile look, it might date the kitchen in a short period of time. I would select your back splash tile before selecting the paint color. Hi this is my own pergola the colour is Urban Slate from Cuprinol It might go well with the colour of your shed.

Here's a couple for now. loads more to do on the house and garden but at least now we can relax on the patio without the mad mix of colours. Currently have scaffolding up so not tidied up yet.
