how would you improve the look of my new home

hi i’m going to be moving into my new home soon and it’s pretty ugly in the outside. aside from getting some new plants in the beds and replacing the paving, what would you do improve this?
i will add we have this pvc porch and would like to replace it with a timber one. i also dislike the colour of the garage but love a bright front door if it worked so wondering what would be best to do with the colours ? thank you !!

Are you planning to replace the windows and doors? You need to choose one colour for the window frames and the garage at least to tie it together. The door could be a complementary colour. A timber porch would be huge improvement.

I guess it depends if you need to live in it straight away or if you have a bit of time beforehand. I think I would personally need to have bedrooms painted and carpeted and a bathroom useable. If your kitchen units are been ripped out could you do this before moving in? If it's as bad as you say I would be inclined to rip all carpets out and get it fresh-not ideal painting around new carpets but you could do that gradually-i could put up with dirty paint but not dirty carpet...just my thoughts. If it's just cosmetic I can't imagine it being too much of a disturbance.

Hello Annken, What about buying a very long Bungalow style home 1930's style.. If you treat it like two wings of a stately home.. With one side each for both of you that meets in the middle for kitchen/dining etc.. Or would you both want completely separate living quarters?.. If the height wasn't too low you may be able to create some split level rooms with ramp style stairs.. Or if it's not a bungalow if it was big enough you could have split level flooring with low spiral stairs.. Think Guggenheim or the Berthold Lubetkin beautifully designed Penguin house at the zoo that also had "slides" for the penguins to enter the pool in style.. These two both have a similar "feel" aesthetically to them and very beautiful... They are both favourites of mine... but it seems to me to be a way of adapting the home to the use of your wheelchairs in a nice stylish and modern way.. Possibly even more affordable than having stairs and chair lifts.. : ))

The porch doesn't look very deep, so I suggest removing it and upgrading the inner door if necessary.
