    With some white paint for the front wall, transparent epoxy for the stone and the roof will make it chain and looks new, and if you need you can but some vertical wood louver on the upper window.

    Also you can start but some of flower box on this windows.

    It really depends on your budget. Paint, a pair of matching trees like bay or olive depending on the orientation and I would consider a new front door. You could start with those. What age are your windows because thats what I would consider replacing next. The symmetry is most appealing.

    Thanks never thought about the epoxy. im going the change the windows and doors definitley and change the blue. paint. I was thinking of white as suggested but my worry was white looks dirty pretty quickly in the UK weather and was planning to go for a grey/ blue but wasnt sure. i was also thinking alluminium sash and change the front exterior door to extra large double doors but wasnt sure it will go.

    .always had a thing for extra large from doors. the trees and window boxes make great sense

    I also love big front doors especially in oak! I also think white is a nightmare in the UK for a render colour. Would you consider either off white or more greige? Even the right shade of grey would work. It could look very smart with aluminium windows? Your house has great bones.

    If you're open to a subtle refresh, a softer, period-appropriate render color (maybe warm white, cream, or sage) could make a big difference while complementing the brick details. Restoring or upgrading the windows to a more traditional style perhaps with Crittall-style frames or timber sash windows would also bring back some of that classic 1920s elegance.

    For the finishing touches, a smart pathway leading up to the entrance maybe in a checkerboard tile or brick would add to the traditional feel. Some symmetrical planting (like lavender or low hedging) could really elevate the frontage too!

    Crittall glazing or aluminium with cosmetic bars would be a fantastic upgrade, adding style and practicality to your space. If you have any questions, our design team is here to help— get in touch!

    @Edward Hice

    Love that you’re looking to preserve the 1920s charm! One approach could be to restore symmetry to the front elevation with period-appropriate windows and soft render shades. Consider reintroducing architectural elements like timber framing, vertical pane glazing, or even a textured stucco finish to elevate that vintage look. A subtle tiled canopy or porch detail could anchor the entrance while still staying true to the era.
