bullnose step.

can a single curtail bullnose step be converted into storage where the lid can be lifted up?
That is potentially the only step I can use for storage as I live in a house that has a cellar basement.

Hi. Can that bottom step be used for storage? I was hoping I could have the lid or roof of step to be lifted up to store shoes.

    Does that help?
I have seen pics where several steps can be lifted up but can only have the bottom one up?? Because of the stairs that lead to the cellar.

    Thank you so much.

Of course you could, but lifting and detaching that step may cause splintering and possibly ruin it. However you could remove it and fit a brand new one with a hinge at the back but you’d have to paint it to match the others. Or you could remove the rear of the step and create a drawer like below. It won’t give you that much room though for storage.

    That’s lovely. Great idea.
With my step, I guess if I made it into a drawer, it would be the same amount as if the lid could be lifted up??
No? It’s a great idea though. Thanks.
