What do you think of this Hampstead Home?
🏙️ Project Highlight: Hampstead 🏙️
Black and Milk has the opportunity to reimagine a luxurious residence in the esteemed Hampstead area, which the award-winning Claridge Architects designed.
This gorgeous home was featured in London's annual Open House event, showcasing the best of contemporary architecture and sustainable design.
Our vision going into this residence was to help enhance the generous open-plan living space and three en-suite bedrooms, ensuring each area reflects a blend of style and comfort.
The house sits within a beautiful private garden, boasting 2.7m high ceilings and floor-ceiling windows that flood the rooms with natural light.
🛋️ Design Challenges and Solutions 🛋️
We embraced the challenge of integrating sustainable materials like Kebony, a tropical hardwood alternative, into the design.
This environmentally conscious choice not only adds to the home's aesthetic appeal but also aligns with modern sustainability principles.
✨ Notable Features ✨
There are so many features we love about this residence, but most notable are the following:
Stylish Child’s Bedroom: The mostly neutral child's bedroom features an oversized floral pattern wallpaper on one wall for a ‘wow’ factor. Dusky-rose curtains complement the look, creating a scheme that is both sophisticated and youthful.
Vibrant Master Bedroom: The master bedroom is adorned with natural fibre wallpaper in woody brown and a bed upholstered in dark blue-grey fabric. The bright mustard piping extends to the velvet sofa, balanced by pale walls and floors, crafting a unique yet relaxed environment.
Generous Open-Plan Living: The spacious open-plan living area is designed for both functionality and style. The idea was to seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor living with its floor-to-ceiling windows and garden views.
