Comments (3)i was going to say tapestry or a glass mirrored effect, as well haha. or just a large painting that you will love to look at. your chandelier is very nice, but i've seen many with that kind of entrance, that they have those really long, pendent lighting, for a dramatic effect. but i'm thinking, you don't want to change that. or a giant clock. or one of those wall stickers. or animal heads haha. few ie attached...See MoreHelp with a boring bedroom
Comments (23)Adding width BEHIND THE BED - with a headboard (which doesn't have to be a "headboard"; it could be fabric, collection of mirrors, collection of pictures, a farm gate!, small chairs or stools) across the entire width. Matching bedside tables/bookcases/chests/ with LAMPS - useful storage for extra books, extra bedding, etc. CURTAINS always warm up a room. People will always feel colder away from home - provide an extra blanket or duvet to add to the bed. I notice there is no WARDROBE. Not really necessary for overnight guests (provide hooks on the back of the door) but useful for storing your out-of-season coats, etc. There is plenty of room behind the door. Buy one on eBay and paint it to suit your colour scheme....See MoreHelp me put sparkle into bedroom
Comments (1)http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Gorgeous-Bespoke-Light-Grey-Velvet-Double-Ended-Chaise-Sofa-HAND-MADE-IN-UK-/121708806362 Hi. The title of your post made me laugh! You have some great pieces in the room. Are the walls elephants breath and the blind taupe? If so, I would add a taupe bed throw. Kelly hoppen has a few good ones on her website but I can't save the images. A velvet bolster cushion would also look great on the bed. I would add either a bed end stool or chaise sofa at the end of the bed. I've attached a link to one on ebay as it seemed very reasonable and you can change the leg colour. I'd go for plain grey silk curtains, next have some silvery grey one in their ready made range which seem reasonable ( apologies as you've painted but I'd hang the curtain rail higher as it will make the room taller). I'd add matching bedside lamps. A roundish decorative silver mirror over the middle of the headboard would look great. I'd also move the chest to the tv ŵall. I personally would just add art to the right hand ŵall if you're laying in bed, maybe some of the black and white Getty images from John lewis? I'd go for the more girlie ones. They're not particularly cheap but you can always buy the prints and have framed separately. Would love to see the room completely finished as it looks great already...See MoreHelp! Comments (15)Hi. Have you ever considered a real interesting eye catching piece of art work to really brighten up an area, I think a select piece of art would really make the space stand out, add interest, colour, texture and add a great talking point to the room.... Please check out my website if you like the idea and please get in contact, commission work is also welcomed so if you like a particular style I can do in a select colour palette and size as an original piece…..I’m also able to produce all original paintings in high end print format, in any size same or smaller than the original. (all within proportions to the original so not to cause distortion) All prints shown are Giclee prints onto soft textured fine art media. All prints come with a white border these can be made to measure too. So lots of options, www.guigsart.co.uk...See More- last year
