Entranceway and Hallway suggestions

Hi all,

I need help with how to dress our hallway and entranceway. As you can tell, we need good storage ideas - the shoes drive me mad.

Have thought about moving coats and shoe storage into the main hallway but we have a cellar door in the floor which we need access to (under the console).

Also the stairs are floating so don’t want to really block the area in.

Any suggestions/ ideas would be really appreciated.

You’ve answered your own question - storage. Depending on budget and where the cellar door is, how about creating a wall of storage under the stairs? All those shoes and coats can then be tucked away. You have a lovely space there.

Thank you. I love this idea but the stairs at the end are like floating stairs. Not sure if you can tell. We had a change around of furniture we have and tried to see if we could make it work better. I think it’s working a lot better but we need to get new furniture.

What a wonderful hall looks fantastic. For the carpet I would (budget allowing) use chrome or brass stair rods on each stair would look brilliant in there. You could always get an old or cheap console table & paint it yourself in silver or bronze etc.

Hi, I'm looking for some suggestions for what to do with this hallway. It's bare because we've recently moved in and have done nothing with it, apart from painting the walls. I was thinking of putting some sort of table or radiator cover along the back wall but if like some storage too, if possible. Just a few drawers or a small unit of some kind. I'm unsure what to do with the stairs too. There are pieces of timber missing from tge front of two of the steps so not sure if they can be filled or if I'd have to cover it. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks.

Hallway remodelling with Crittall like frame ..?

we are looking to replace an existing indoor partition glass and door with a frame similar to crittall .The glass and the door separate the living room and hallway. The new frame itself will be black or blue black but the other doors in the hallway are off white with greige walls . How do we paint existing doors and wall in the hallway once we have the frame in place ? All pictures I've seen with Crittall have the rest of the doors of similar colors . Any suggestions please..? I've attached pictures of the existing frame and door in the hallway which is being replaced and a picture of the new frame which is very similar to the frame we plan having.
