Kitchen walls/floor colour ideas for a green kitchen?

We've opened up our kitchen into a kitchen/diner and are getting a new kitchen in 'pine green' with a white worktop. My dilemma is what colour to paint the walls, and what colour laminate flooring to choose? The room is south facing and we'll be taking the conservatory off, so there'll be even more light than there is at the moment.

Thoughts so far are to go with white walls, but I don't want them to look dirty against a bright white worktop and wall tiles. Then I'd like a feature wall in a darker colour at the dining room end (not sure what colour), but will that look strange next to white walls?

At the moment I like the darker laminate sample we have, but just don't know whether it'll go well with our new units! So I've attached pictures of some of our other laminate samples too.

What are your thoughts? Any colour suggestions?

I love good old Brilliant White and have it all over my house, that is above the picture rails and the ceiling. It does tend to fade over time so doesn’t look so stark. F&B All White has a nice clean look. But yes there are so many whites to choose from it does make your head spin! This is Dulux Brilliant White above the picture rail and ceiling in my living room.

Slipper Satin, Stoney Ground or shaded white are the recommended complimentary colours but if you really want a grey you could try strong white. I've got French Gray Units which isn't a million miles away from Mizzle and I've used Dulux Egyptian Cotton on the walls, it's definitely grey (although doesn't look it on colour chart) but got a beige undertone so would work with your flooring.

We are currently upgrading our kitchen - recently removed 1970s floor tiles. I plan on painting the chairs colourtrend aged vellum green. Any thoughts on a wall, cornice and ceiling colour? This room is south facing. was thinking of colourtrend silk seal but will this make the kitchen very green and not enough contrast with chairs. Maybe a cream.. Any ideas?

Be careful using laminate in a kitchen. Make sure it's waterproof.

And to add l would also opt for white walls.

Laminate is fine in the kitchen. Just remember to wipe up any spillages immediately. l’m puzzled by anyone would think it’s not suitable as that’s its intended situation.

As an alternative you could opt for solid surface or quartz if funds allow.

The green, white and wood affect laminate will look stunning. Keep the walls white or off white. A simple cream or pale grey floor would also work, but I like your choice of laminate and I particularly like your second choice. I like how they have used white walls, green units and wooden floor in the picture below. The shelving really adds to it too.

Thanks for the ideas everyone! We're getting either a solid surface or quartz worktop; the laminate will be flooring only (and a high AC rating). LVT wasn't going to be suitable for us as the concrete underneath the floor isn't completely flat/smooth, and we were advised against putting it next to south facing patio doors due to the heat.

I find choosing white paints tricky - do you think it should have a warm or cool undertone? Is there a chance it'll look grubby next to a bright white worktop?

Can you share the final result ? I’m thinking similar colours scheme,and layout of my kitchen is very similar so I’m curious how did it work for you ? Tia
