Help! Need organization ideas for a small bathroom with no storage
I absolutely hate my bathroom! It gives me anxiety every time I walk in because of how everything is messily sitting out on the shelf. There is no storage space except for the tiny mirror on the wall, so I need organization ideas so my bathroom items aren’t sloppily splayed out. My home aesthetic is ”boho chich” (think Tulum vibes). Is there a way I can make this space look less cluttered and things are put away so they aren’t on display for everyone to see??
I would also like ideas on how to hide the shower, which I also hate. I’m not in a position to renovate so I can’t remove the glass panel. I was thinking about putting up a curtain rod with a shower curtain but I’m not sure how that would work with the glass panel. It’s also to help keep the water from flooding the floor every time I shower.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated because I’m desperate!!

last yearGood storage is everything in a bathroom. It’s a nice bathroom drowning in a sea of toiletries. I can’t add any more to Marina’s suggestions, but I can reiterate to replace the wall cabinet for the biggest you can find. It will take all your toiletries off the shelves and tucked away neatly. If budget allows, you could get a carpenter to build you one to fit on top of that big shelf above the loo/sink. Same with a vanity unit. Once you have those in place you will find everything will look so much tidier. I like shower curtains. They do the job and you can bung them in the washing machine when they need it. Not sure if they would work with the shower screen though so you may need to remove it? Then you can add some decorative items such as plants, real or faux, and art. Here’s more storage ideas if you have space for these units.

Comments (7)I agree with maikola, turn under the stairs into storage. Maybe combine with a little desk for when the kids are older. I'd swap your dining and living area around. Have the tv on the long left wall with a small sofa a couple of feet in front of the doors and one opposite the tv. It does look as if a 5ft table would fit in the kitchen though? If you don't want to fill too much of the kitchen space consider a bench one side for you to use with chairs for the kids on the other. Comments (5)Hi. I think a Chesterfield would be nice, you can find some small ones c5ft or so which will allow for a narrow lamp table or trunk. I'd go for a ŵall to wall bookcase behind the sofa with a couple of ŵall lights affixed. I don't know what styles you like but perhaps french doors painted in a dark grey to give a crittall look. Does the tv fit in the alcove if you were to add shelves and then add art over the fire with a large mirror on the ŵall facing you? Comments (6)It small But your cabin sink unit is a good idea as you have storage space and it looks neat. I have changed my bath many times to shower unit and it has leaked every time, some times it has been the plumbers fault or bad design then it was a visitor who let the water spill while showering the last time it flooded the insurers wanted the bathroom TANKED! meaning waterproof walls and floors. This is done by an experienced plumber contractor of repute! as the insurers said too many claims from too many people with bad waterproofing. the insurer said they would not insure again or any other clients who had not got their bathroom water proofed by expert plumber fitters. last yearStorage is easy in this bathroom because you just hang cabinets on the wall above the sink and WC….. like your current medicine cabinet but full width and taller. Your aesthetic might include some wood but I think the mirror is useful and helps make a small space feel bigger.
Style wise I agree it’s a bit clinical and your golden sand/ lush jungle feel could be amazing. I would find a Jungle wallpaper for the left wall, I would search for stained glass window stickers to find a vinyl sheet sticker as a colourful way to pimp your shower screen. Then consider replacing the floor with a warmer choice…. Perhaps something sand coloured?
