I am planning to start my own timber frame build in the next couple of years. I have a forest coming to maturity in this year. Is it viable to invest in a small bandsaw mill and cut out enough timber for your own house!? This will have to be left to season also. Mills start at approx 10k. I am aware an engineer wouldn't sign off on this but is there anything else I should worry about?
