natural colour kitchen dilemma

In the process of choosing a new kitchen. Really want neutral tones - stone/putty colour with natural wood veneer. So far I have fallen in love with Magnet Nordic Oak and Magnet Truffle Oil. Unfortunately these two designs/colours are way out of our price range. The samples I’ve seen of cashmere colour in all the companies I’ve looked at all have a slightly pink tone which I don’t want. Have found a putty colour in Second Nature kitchens with walnut insert (outline) but again, lots of ££. It seems the colours I’m looking for all seem to be non standard ‘painted’ colours which obviously bumps the price up. Because I’m envisaging a mix of stone/neutral colour units with wood veneer units it would seem I’m limited. I really don’t want to give up on my kitchen dream just yet but we’ve not got an unlimited budget. Any suggestions gratefully received 🙏

People think neutrals are easy, they're not at all. Simplify neutrals into some groups - cool greys which may contain or read as slightly blue, taupes which can include some violet or a bit of red (such as cashmere), green grays, yellow greys etc. Things can go wrong when you mix them up. in terms of trends the cool grey trend has been replaced with other trends. Although this might not matter to some, it can really date a house to have everything that looks like it was installed in a particular era. According to instagram, the current neutral trend is much much warmer and so earthy colours and stoney colours are going to be around for a while. Stone colours will always look timeless and classic which means a good investment. I would not compromise on colour, otherwise it will restrict all of the other choices you purchase. Make sure you choose your worktop carefully too so you don't have a clash of neutrals or cools/warms.

Buy a door that can be painted. Some are available in a primer only, then get some colour swatches to make sure you have the right shade.

I think you have 2 choices 1) change paint colour 2) get drapes that have cream, white and black in them something like these I like the print one because it uses what you have but introduces another color to use for accessories etc.

I suggest that you use the 12 tiles you have and like in some arrangement as a stove backsplash. You might need to use white tiles or tile strips in between your own tiles to make a pleasing arrangement. Use white tiles to complete the space behind the stove and the other areas where you want to have tile.

A medium color floor is easier to keep looking clean than a dark or light floor. For an open floor plan, I would choose planks. One of the main features in the design of an open floor plan is to draw the eye through the space. A herringbone pattern would be confusing to the eye. Use herringbone in a small room.

I thought I may be daring and go for units in little greene light bronze green with island in graphite I think that combo looks stunning but after much deliberation I’m going to play it safe with stone colour kitchen cabinets. Intend to get the light bronze greene in somewhere though. I love it

hopefully @colourhappy will post again as I’m sure she has a light bronze green wall in her kitchen combined with wood units and maybe F&b skimming stone (?) on the other walls which looks amazing

I do still have that colour Minnie thank you! I think it's the most flattering colour with wood and anything yellow and pale taupes.
