What colour wall paint go with Cashmere cabinets in a northfacing room

We are getting a Hammonds cashmere TV unit fitted in our living room that only gets a tiny bit of natural light on the south wall which is opposite the TV unit wall (north facing TV wall). The rest of the room gets light reflected off of the external surroundings (mainly brick walls from neighbour's house). The current room colour is pinkish-orange which I understand why the previous owners had but it doesn't go with our grey couches nor do I like orange walls.
So my question is what warm white (since cool whites will only make the room look duller), will go with cashmere units? I'm also open to making the north facing TV unit wall (where the cashmere units will be) in a darker colour to complement the unit but what white will go with the rest of the 3 walls (South, East & West)?
I hope I'm making sense. Any advice and pictures would be greatly appreciated!

Farrow and Ball Pointing is worth trying. Skimming Stone goes with Cashmere, but it can read as rather cool in low lit rooms.

Thank you so much for that. I loved skimming stone but you are quite right about it reading rather cool. I think I might give Pointing sample a try.

Hi Maria. It's a lovely kitchen and I must admit I like the white so would probably change the accessories. I would add a huge sunburst clock or mirror above the cabinets (can't work out if it's a clock or mirror above the fire). Add a statement light over the table. Try a coloured splashback behind the cabinets. Add some coloured stools. I would say paint the kitchen chairs but I can see they are good quality! If you do want to paint then either blues, violets or even a very soft grey if you add some coloured accesories. Do make sure the colour blends with the lounge though as you can obviously see through.

Yea I was looking at 'Petrol' colour which is a kind of Teal blue. However, it's for the entire ground floor so my plan was to go neutral and add colour instead on walls and with accessories, which will help when it comes to selling the house to renting it out as not everyone is crazy about bold pattern and colour. I was toying with sections too, but I'm not sure if it would look weird in an open plan space?

Hi. I've seen you're doing the living room in elephants breath. Why not continue this on the "kitchen"ŵall for some contrast with the cabinets and to keep the arch the same colour and then do the rest in skimming stone to keep it light. I don't think you need to go mad on accessories, you already have green in both rooms. Why not move the purple dish onto the island and add a ceramic vase and potted herb etc. for the table add a vase of good quality faux flowers in soft white with some really deep purple and some green foliage.

I was going to suggest Pointing, it is a warmer white. For the darker wall I wonder if Purbeck Stone by F&B would go? My sister has it in her hall and it is lovely but her hall is bright and sunny.

We have Purbeck Stone on the walls in our kitchen, the ceiling is Pointing and the woodwork is Shadow White. The room has a set of south facing French doors and a north facing window over the sink. Additional light comes through internal glass French doors into the living room. The colours tone well with our Dove Grey kitchen units and the warmth of oak flooring and worktops.

Thank you Sonia & pmasmith3 for the Purbeck Stone suggestion🙂What a stunning colour. Both pictures look beautiful! I will have to sample that along with the lighter Skimming stone suggestion once the cabinets are fitted to see how the light gets reflected.

A follow up question though: doesn't cashmere have a pink/red undertone? Would it go with the grey wall?

I haven’t seen Cashmere in ‘real life’ - sorry. I went to a Farrow & Ball shop where I got some advice (free) where I was able to see large samples of the paint colours which really helped. I simply told them the colour of my units, floors and worktops and a sample of the wallpaper I’d be using on one wall. I’m sure they’d be able to advise - or look on their website. Good luck.

Another suggestion is Dulux Egyptian Cotton. I had it in my bedroom and it does have slight pink undertones so maybe worth getting a sample pot. It is quite similar to Skimming Stone. I suggest you paint your samples onto A4 cards and try them on different walls in the room stuck with some blue tack. I was advised to do this and it really helps. It works better than lots of paint samples on a wall which can be confusing. Purbeck Stone is a lovely taupe. This is Egyptian Cotton.

Cashmere contains some magenta so it can read as having a red tinge. This means that selecting neutrals that come from the same family should work, Pointing contains some red.

Thank you ! Would you happen to know of any Dulux colours that could go with cashmere or are similar to Pointing? I was leaning towards a few Dulux colour options for the TV wall and I thought if I do go down that route, shouldn't I colour all walls in Dulux rather than two different brands?
