Curtain choice for livid bedroom

Just in the process of painting my bedroom littlr greene livid, I’m not sure what colour curtains to go for. I’ve attaced photos of bedding and throw.

I’ve just seen your living room, i’d do similar and also incorporate the cream. There are a few nice ones on here that could work and they use LG paints for interiors

Ok - currently saving money on carpet; already have pool table and lamp for this area. What about creating different seating areas in the room. You said there are built ins? Computer station? Family using this space. Here is MY suggestion: I would use MORE than one rug - each for specific areas of this room. You can have the sisal berbers made to fit - and I think ONE large one would actually end up being a little messy as this would be huge - and could get off bounds? (out of shape) You could have these bound and use them to create different areas within the larger space? Is that a gold or a taupe or beige color between the red pattern? Here is my suggestion : the opposite side of the color wheel tones down the other - since this is a red color - how about using a very soft BLUE/GREY on the ceiling? Or a very soft Grey/Blue? And a very soft taupe or mocha color on the walls - something which is within the SAME tonal family as the NON-red portion of your rug? This should go nicely with your brown sofa and the sisal or other type berbers? YES - get one larger one (RUG for the area in front of the TV . . . large enough to go from the baseboard area - to completely under your sofa? BTW - LAZYBOY makes beuatiful furniture - and you do NOT have to get the plumped and rolled ubiquitious leather chair. OR, I can personally, highly recommend FurnitureLa South, in Hickory N.C. - and they will deliver for FREE! Love that! They have a style for everyone and this is where they actually make the furniture. They sell ALL manufacturers at cost. Well not Lane or Ethan Allen. My one last thought - since this is such a very large space - I would also get a rather substantial and DARK drapery rod using finials - and extend the width of the drapes to help balance the room on the other side with the windows. Since you have built ins on the other side - this will help balance the space visually. IF you do not like the color of the fixture material on the pool table light - you can get any finish you desire in a rustoleium paint - I would consider spray painting this something in the neighborhood of a oil rubbed bronze; or something with more of a dark patina? This would also help balance out the room and bring focus into the space you are utilizing - the rest will fade away. SO - ceiling paint a must; paint the trim or add a more traditional trim - at least 5 inches in depth; TWO separate rugs - not one big one - at least one for now for the TV area; Extend your drapes and raise them almost to the ceiling to help balance the room; Darker drape rod - and double the fabric for your drapes to make them look fuller; Spray paint a darker finish on to the pool table fixture. Use a tone of paint on the wall which will go with the tone of the other color of your rug! Another thought: You consider finding an old wooden bench - or church pew ??? that would be fun; you could place facing into the space around the pool table area? This will give folks a place to sit and could help further define your separate areas?

They look perfect together. Maybe add a small scale white with purple polka dots for a third accent. I love the Olive green in there also. I am assuming the mink color sofa is a beige/ tan? I think a purple accent wall will look stunning with the neutrals you have picked and the fun fabrics. Things to consider when mixing patterns: from http://decoratingfiles.com/2013/05/mixing-patterns/ . Use a minimum of 3 different patterns varying the scale by using small, medium and large patterns. . Use 60% of your favorite pattern, 30% of a second pattern, and 10% of a third pattern as an accent. . The second pattern should be half the scale of the first one and have at least two colors in common with it. If you went with a floral on the first pattern, this one could be a stripe or geometric. You picked a perfect stripe! . The colors of the third pattern should compliment the first two and be the smallest in scale. .The color intensity should be the same for all patterns. For example, don’t mix pastel patterns with jewel tone patterns. Post more picks as you go! :D

With the wood trim, and a white crown . .. I think the duvet color scheme wants white painted skirting and window / window sill. Then, try a softer violet on the accent wall .. .since both the red or the blue could coordinate with that but otherwise we have opposites - As a backdrop, violet can be nice with gray and white. Look at bm faded violet http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/fadedviolet#ce_s=violet and bm picket fence for the other walls, ( a soft warm off white that echos the tone of the carpet) with crisp white trim. http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/picketfence If you want a deep shade, look at wood violet .. http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/woodviolet#ce_s=violet the thing with a small room is that a shot of intense color can do a lot if paired mostly with neutrals and white. Great if you have a white wood headboard or padded slipcover above the bed, white matted art. . .. you do have good natural light, but with a dark wall you will want bedside lighting to be light and bright for nighttime. Here, the wood provided a gold element that was sort of helpful with the blue but will clash with where you are going.. Paint it out, and voila, you are on your way. . . there is a thread where a woman focused on white with coral - I'll find it and bring you the link so you can follow her decision making - she chose a strong accent wall in a small room and then concentrated on white and it is lovely.

How about a traditional sheepskin rug for the floor, this will look great on the wood and is lovely for bare feet when you get out of bed in the morning! As for the curtains and bedding, with grey walls and white furniture, you have the liberty to do as you like. Personally, I would add some pattern with colour in the curtains (nothing too garish!) attached is a pattern by Romo. I would keep the bed linen a plain colour, below is Secret Linen Store, relaxed denim bedding in Graphite Grey then you can add some pattern and colour with cushions and throws. If you like slightly bolder colour patterns, Bluebellgray also do some lovely fabrics in bold but beautiful prints. I hope the suggestions help!
