Hi, what should i do with this chimney to make my bedroom look much nicer?

Leah, Run a Set of Sliding wardrobes on that wall and install a full height Shoe Rack in the area at the Chimney behind the Sliding Door,,

At the moment the chimney is the only interesting thing in the room! Get your bed and furniture in there, hang some curtains, artwork, etc. See what else you need. Building storage into the alcoves is a popular choice, but having one whole wall of floor to ceiling cabinets could be quite domineering. You could open up the chimney breast and have a fireplace opening into the room to provide an actual feature? Use the alcove by the window for a desk area?

You could create a built in look with shelves on the smaller side and a shelf or two on the larger side to balance it out. I would do a chest ( or built in) that fits the space on the smaller side. Then maybe a longer console table on the other. You could go with wall mounted lighting if you do the shelves. I would look through Houzz at fireplace walls and find a look you love.

I'm really struggling to decide what to do with the natural alcoves either side of the chimney breast in our new build. We are aiming for a contemporary look and the wall in question is at one end of an open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living room approximately 11.5m x 4.4m (please see images of SketchUp model attached) Any suggestions would be really appreciated. Hi guys, I’m at a loss of what kind of other furniture I can add in here. The chimney flute is so close to the bed that I can only fit one locker by the bed. Wondering what I can do with the other side as I have the chimney wall it’s just not even with the other side. I have a walk in wardrobe so I don’t need wardrobe space or anything but looking for suggestions on how to make this room more relaxing and zen for sweet dreams :)

Hello, We are looking for some advice on how to finish this wall in our small living room. The chimney breast wall only comes out 13cm so our first idea of console tables won't work. We are therefore thinking of getting a built in unit that will be about 35cm high - to the socket which will extend the length of the 3 walls, this has been done in other houses in our estate. We are thinking of a nice wood veneer and painting it? Would we possibly paint the chimney breast wall the same colour or the two other walls and leave the middle one plain? All ideas and suggestions are greatly welcomed! thanks! First two pictures are our living room currently, and third picture is an idea of the unit.
