Ideas for a Media Unit

Hi everyone - I'd like to get some form of media unit but struggling for ideas on it. We have a large tv (65Inch), sound bar, bass and playstation wires all to incorporate. Would also like some form of back lighting. It's a high ceiling room so I don't want it to feel lost nor overpower the room, and theres also an entry door and a balcony door so has passing traffic. Any ideas or inspiration would be much appreciated! Glenageary based (if you also have recommendations of companies who could do the job!)

Hi Richie, Have a look at this: http://www.avforums.com/threads/mixed-members-home-cinema-gallery-section-pictures-only.1051141/page-5 - 12 pages of different set-ups, most of them in rather small rooms. You could choose one room that you like most (or bits from different ones) and try to replicate it. There's also a DIY section - some guys tell you what they did step-by-step. In the above photo measure from ceiling down to where shelves are to placed. Do this at each corner. Depending on how your house settled this will ensure that the shelves parallel the ceiling. The shelves may not be "level" per say but will have that level look

Calling experience professionals, I am just doing up my kitchen and just wondering if you a favourite tried and tested colour schemes for handpainted kitchen cabinetry. I'll offer one that I like. 1. Top Unit - Cornforth White (F&B) 2. Base Units - Charlstown Grey (F&B)with White Stone Worktop/ Wood Flooring. Hi there, We've recently refloored and painted our living room. I think it's very bland and want to introduce more colour, perhaps a deep teal on the fireplace wall or something. Im struggling with choosing units for the alcove. I hate the TV stand and was thinking of something built in, put the TV higher and mounted on the wall but I cant put one on the other side or I'll have nowhere for my Christmas tree or baby's chair, will it look odd with something on one side only? Any suggestions for wall hangings and rug or no rug! Thanks in advance!
