Mirror embedded into old window frame

Hi all
I've recently bought a house which has been extended, and the old window and door blocked off to leave the exposed bricks wall. I would like to put a mirror, embedded into the old window frame, which would look like a window (the types of mirror we see pretty much everywhere nowadays!). The idea is to reflect the garden while we sit at the kitchen island (so we currently face the blocked window, and the idea is that it will reflect the garden behind, through the bifold doors).
Just wondering if anyone has done this before, whether you think it would work and any advice would be much appreciated!
