Warm flooring options for grey units and worktop

We really love the combo of grey cabinet doors and this concrete effect laminate worktop. However, conscious it could feel a bit cold in the kitchen so thought a warmer style floor would be an option. At the moment not sure if LVT will work, but either way, some suggestions of style/colour would be appreciated.

I like LVT because it can be steamed cleaned. An oak effect would add warmth

Kitchen's suffer from extreme humidity variation, so you should fully adhere the solid or engineered flooring to avoid a bowing/warping floor in a few months time However, here's another viable option; luxury vinyl tiles (LVT). Generally, LVTs are 2.5mm thick, made from 100% pvc (therefore waterproof), come with a thick polyurethane wear layer that normally is backed up with a manufacturers warranty, with a wood or stone effect finish. LVTs are great with underfloor heating and unlike ceramics, they don't break when heavy objects are dropped on them and unlike wooden floors, once laid, LVTs need no further maintenance other than regular vacuuming and washing. LVTs are almost indestructible! There are many options available but us Flooring Gurus recommend going for a recognised brand. The whole idea about an LVT is for it to look authentic. They need to genuinely look like the wood or stone flooring they are mimicking. Cheap alternatives, when installed, look ... well ... awful! Try looking at Polyflor's Colonia and Camaro. Skimming stone is a lighter version of Elephants Breath and Dove Tale is a darker version, so if you want a tonal scheme you could go for a combination of those three colours. Strong White and Charleston Gray also work well with Elephants Breath. Because Elephants breath has a purple undertone to it, Brassica is often combined with it which would look great on the island unit. What colour is your worktop?

I am back again. I decided against the tile originally proposed as the advice here was totally right, the tile had a strong pink/salmon tone. Thanks so much to everyone. I have been searching again and attached is what I am now thinking of going for. I think this tile is very neutral, should match a lot of colours, is warm and easy to keep. It should also match a modern kitchen. Opinions please!!!

Would suggest white! A warm white like wimbourne white. All of the most beautiful rooms in my house are painted white! Then add in some wall art and some plants.

Although the worktop has a lot of grey it also has a warm beige in it, so a wood effect LVT in a warm shade would look rather nice.

Hi Jamie, Yes i think that you are right, and would suggest you explore a 'scandi' style of timber floor with these colours, and perhaps look at a washed oak type of finish to stop it ending up looking too cold. Here is one as an example of colour from Kronospan.
