help with Bathroom Design over stairs!!

Hi, I am thinking of redesigning the current bathroom which sits above a staircase so the space is minimised by a stair bulge!
The current layout / floor plan is shown.
Is it possible to take out the bath and install a walk in shower? I dont mind if there is a step to get into the shower as long as the space can be utilised efficiently. Any help is much appreciated.
Currently the sink sits on top of the stair bulge and all that space above is not being used. There is a mirror at the back of the wall but not able to use it or clean it!
