Make my room more family friendly
Comments (42)Hi Janis Unfortunately I am not in the Boston area - I live in Ireland! Yes there are red items in 3 of the main rooms, the kitchen, sitting room and tv room (library) - although we have pared those back now and it's not as overwhelming. thanks for all your help everyone, i really feel like it's made a big difference and am excited to finish the tv room and then refresh the play room. do you think I should move the piano to the sitting room? and would the jazz painting work in the tv room? speak later, thanks!...See MoreHow to make my kids playroom more stylish?
Comments (17)Simplify is always a good strategy with play rooms. The temptation to cover the walls with artwork and posters can add to the visual clutter. I would suggest a larger area rug to ground the space and create a soft place for playing on the floor. Comments (1)Could you bring the informal kitchen dining through here and make better use of the then bigger kitchen ? Or use it as a study area with a desk and extra tall storage cupboards for printers, paper envelopes and stamps etc etc Or as a games table area with a pair of chairs and a small table with a chess set on - defined by a rug underneath to pull it together as a space in its own right ? Or reading nook with book shelving, snuggler chair, side table and reading light ? Again anchored on a size appropriate rug ?...See MoreWalk Interior Architecture & Design
