(Faulty) Asko tumble dryer

Hello,

I have a question about my clothes dryer. You see, I have just moved house and I have taken over a lot of appliances and stuff from the previous occupants. So now I have also taken over the clothes dryer but I think there is a problem with the appliance.

The dryer is not running. I looked on the internet for possible causes and solutions. A common cause with my problems is that carbon brushes are worn out or the string is broken. The solution described here was that the carbon brushes or string should be replaced.

I had my friend look at it and he told me that I can easily be replaced myself. He always gets his parts for his any broken appliances from https://fixpart.co.uk/en.

I have an Asko T208C.W tumble dryer and I looked between products at FixPart, but I don't know if this is the right site to buy the parts for my tumble dryer. I looked between here: https://fixpart.co.uk/en/appliances/asko/tumble-dryer/carbon-brush

https://fixpart.co.uk/en/appliances/asko/tumble-dryer/belt

Does anyone perhaps have experience with this company or have any tips for my faulty tumble dryer?

Thanks in advance and I would love to hear from you!

Kind regards,

Justin

In my experience tumble dryers last for many years. if it is not working l would just replace it. They’re not too expensive.

Why not call a repair engineer to look at it? There is a call out fee of about £60 but they can usually sort it and worth it as this brand is quite expensive. Do you know how old the machine is?
