Whats the best way to make this open plan?

Hi, I'm looking to open up my ground floor (but not absolutely fully, I like the first wall in the hallway that secludes the living room from the stairs), I'd like to be able to include a full bathroom downstairs but can't think of anything inspiring and spacious.
Am going to attach floor plan

Hi Tas,

Here is a quick design that I came up with:

You should be able to create a small but practical bathroom with the bath under the stairs. That leaves the rest of the space off the entrance hall to be open plan. Living room could focus onto a contemporary feature fireplace and media center. The dining area and breakfast bar both have the best views out onto the garden. This creates a long thin kitchen at the back right that also has views and a door out on the garden. It is integrated with the whole space but avoids being a walk-through to anything else.

Hi I notice your blind and lamp are Laura Ashley Pelham. Laura Ashley does a duck egg white, pale duck egg and duck egg paint colours. Maybe you could have the duck egg white as the predominant colour and use in both rooms but also use the pale duck egg or duck egg in the lounge, or add some wallpaper. Not sure grey walls would work with the kitchen units. Perhaps more of a taupe/warm grey would work in both spaces though.

Could you turn your sectional and chair to face the wall with the large painting, then wall mount the TV on that wall? If you remove the foosball table and take away some of the counter chairs, you could probably put a table in front of the sliding doors. Either way , you do need a larger area rug. Your sectional front legs should be on the edge of the area rug.
