How do I co-ordinate my living room with this wallpaper seem to have a lot of the same colour
Comments (20)HI -- Well the wallpaper was just done so there is no changing that , soooo I think you should paint the rest of that wall the same white as the white background of the wallpaper and paint fireplace mantel too. Then have two small matching cabinets painted the blue from the paper or the leaf color placed on each side of the fireplace. . Then have white or glass shelves above , maybe three is best . Now the rest of the room painted the exact color of your sofa . Because the room looks small I think it would look best to have the sofa blend into the walls color wise. Now just keep some of your room accents in the blue color but not too much. Remember not to clutter the shelves and if you don't want the shelves then have a large painting on each side and have a big round mirror over the mantel and keep the small items off the mantel and onto the side cabinets ....See MoreLiving Room Renovation

Comments (28)Hi amfork, I went ahead & put the hob on my island & am delighted I did. I find it really is so much nicer looking out at the kids/my husband & being able to chat to them while I prepare meals as opposed to facing the wall with my back turned on everyone. I put a 4 ring induction hob on the island & put a 5 ring gas hob on counter facing wall. I did this as I have a large extended family & we frequently have get togethers. It’s great for catering for big events. However, I use the 4 ring induction hob on a daily basis. Hope this helps! Best of luck with your project, Claire...See MorePositioning of furniture in living room, what do you think?
Comments (0)Hi, we're trying to figure where the furniture should go in this living room. We would like to place a three seater, two seater and the television as a starting point. There is no fireplace or other focal point in the room. You also have to walk through this room to get to the kitchen so the furniture cannot block this route. There is a deep alcove on the left of the room where we would like to put a small work station with shelves on the wall above the desktop. Would you hang the television on the long wall or put it in the corner opposite the workstation alcove? We could put a three seater under the window but where to place a two seater is a problem. We need more seating than one couch can supply. Any ideas? Thank you...See MoreHU-406593228
