dark hallway and wall lights?

Hi was thinking of putting some wall lights down hallway… would I keep them to one side or both? And how many would be best… I’m worried it’s too narrow to have wall lights…

Couldn’t find many pictures of wall lights in a narrow hall, but here’s a couple for you.

Thanks Sonia! Think my hallway might be slightly narrower… though from looking at the comparisons… the wall lights tend to go a bit higher if the hall is more narrow.

open plan living room / kitchen / hallway. For the hall, it is very dark with no natural live in the corridor really. Nothing else in the house will be grey, I'm thinking a light mauve (lighter shade than living room suite) with the end wall a darker shade or. light green with a darker green end wall. living room pic included for rest of house colour scheme

I think you could add accent lights but not direct lights. I'm looking at what Sonia is suggesting, and maybe close to that, but closer to your wall and smaller luminaire

Would something like this work? They seem quite slim and as they have fabric shades would create a similar quailty of light to a lamp. The bronze would work with the floor tiles.
