Would love to get some help with my bedroom
Comments (16)i agree with most suggestions above. but dont remove your current rug because u can actually layer a faux fur rug over it. plus your rug has amazing rustic colours and u can use them as accents. maybe over time you may invest in new pillowcases/quilt covers complementing the colours of the rug..peach/mint/cream/ to name a few. may also add some mettalic cushions combo. you can always take them off if you want that summery feel in which switch to sweet pastels. a lot of pillows are important! lol! i'd get rid of the plant. the dressing table n side tables could be black (lacquer may be interesting)with gold knobs (think art deco). dressing table should be move to the side so you get more light and space near the window. maybe mirror can be placed against the window so ull also get natural light when you're admiring your reflection. ur room has an eclectic feel to it.. its great just needs some rearrangments thats all....See MoreCan I put a kitchen with an extractor fan in a living space where there is a woodburning stove
Comments (2)I assume you mean a wood burning stove as fireplace as opposed to a wood burning stove as cooking stove? Takes all kinds to make a world and it's not the first time I've seen the idea. It depends on the strength of the fan. Pulling too many cubic feet per minute may suck smoke and carbon monoxide into the living area from the stove. Make up air ventilation, outside air, is required for fans over a certain CFM. I can't quote code on this one, but the make up air prevents negative pressure within the house. A sealed combustion firebox is probably OK, the air for combustion on such a unit would also come form outside. The EPA rated wood burning fireplace from Fireplace Xtrodinaire is an example. Hope this helps...a call to your local building department may answer your question better....See MoreHow can I improve the curb appeal here.
Comments (5)Flowers in those flower boxes would be a good start, and then I'd tear out the conctrete or whatever the surface is next to the house and extend the driveway further out, closer to the camera, to make up for lost driveway space. The down spout must be removed from he driveway. The steps up to the house seem to be a confused assembly of different materials and should be reformed into a cohesive entry stairway, with plantings flanking it, or pots of greenery/flowers on it. The garage seems to be a different color from the house and if that is the came, I would change it echo the colors of the house. In the foreground of the photo is an opportunity for some beautiful landscaping.
