Bathroom dilemma

I would really appreciate some 'tile' advice.I live in 2 bedroomed 1930's terraced house. I want to update my bathroom but have a dilemma. The wall tiles surrounding the bath need to be replaced. The problem is that I can't seem to find ones that tone in with my current floor (mix of black and an off cream). I have already picked up some samples of cream metro tiles, slate black ones and other colours such as green and blue.Would I just be better off changing the floor tiles as well or should I just go for a complete overhaul?I will post a picture shortly to give you an idea.

I think your floor tiles are lovely. As they are quite busy, it's possible that simple, buff coloured tiles would blend well so the floor remains the focus. I also think that off white on the skirtings and panel may look better with the floor. In terms of scale, the small busy tiles on the floor might contrast nicely with larger more simple wall tiles. Try seraching for 'buff'f instead of cream and take a look at Mandarin Stone.

Just a quick note to thank you all for sharing your thought, ideas, experience and time. It may not be perfect or according to the the "Rules", but it is Me and my family. Each and every piece was chosen by me in different parts of the world and each one of them has a unique story behind. I am very pleased with my space. I love it! I am very blessed. .... and so I am off to my new project now... Back to school.... that's really going to be hard ;) Thank you all, once again.

These tiles on our kitchen floor?

Hi, We always put a quick note to verify our experience: Brigitte and I have consistently designed between 70-90 kitchens/year for over 34 years..... We've literally designed thousands of kitchens..... We also design/build full structural including below-grade foundation plans..... Anyway, certainly nothing personal, but that tile reminds us of old bathroom tiles/patterns from back in the 40's/50's, not something to put on a large kitchen floor.....Considering that you also have a parquet floor pattern in both adjoining rooms it might really look awful.....As we tell many clients- "don't want to look like we're in Disney World!.....You should be able to buy some of these tiles and lay them out, then return them.....Do it next to the other floors to see the visual.....Hope this helps.....John & Brigitte

I think mirrored walls are very odd, and were popular for appearing to increase the square footage of a room, or bring in the illusion of more light because of all the reflecting. I think you should buy a beautifully-framed mirror and put it over the sink. If you tile halfway up the wall, paint or wallpaper the rest.

Thank you very much for your suggestions - will take them on board.

I also like the floor tiles and want to try and avoid replacing them. Hopefully it will all work out.
