Exteriors Design Dilemma Building a Home

New build entrance ideas

Hope to get some ideas for our entrance!
House built in 2020 and we put an automatic gate in early for security hung on 2 creosote electric poles the builder had left.
Ideally there would be a way to incorporate the poles and gate into a new entrance but yet to see how. Had a local builder out to quote a simple rendered block wall with granite caps and said it would need to be taken down and put back on new pillar (would need gate installer to reinstall, $$$).
That problem aside any ideas welcome. Main issue with rendered walls is our house is quite heavily rendered already. A stone wall or simple fence and hedge are what i am currently thinking of. We live on a country lane busy with walkers so privacy important too. In built lighting would should be possible from existing power supply.

maybe have a look at planting laurel trees ,if you fix heavy gauge chain link fence to the timber fence 1st and then plant the laurel keep topping the laurel and it will get tick on bottom ,then let it grow to hight you like .

Hi all, I'm tearing my hair out re kitchen layout for a new build and would love your suggestions. I'm finding it hard to design something clean-cut but yet that is not too closed in around the entrance door to the kitchen. The style will be handleless matt with a white stone worktop, very modern hopefully. Anyway, we will be having the hob closer to the wall to allow for more seating space on peninsula - it's measuring about 2.7m at the moment. Potentially a mix of the 3 different plans might work best, but the position of the sink and hob won't change. Would love to hear your feedback. Thanks!
