Need some inspiration. My 1970’s house needs a porch, am think something simple and box like with grey/black front door to match the garage. Needs to be able to create a boot room/ coat and shoe storage as well as looking lovely.
To be honest I don’t want to have to get planning permission and there isn’t too many benefits of extending the garage as the drive is only just big enough for the car. It’s more for a flat roofed porch with a little bit of design so it looks like it always been there rather than a stuck on addition. I love these but just not practical. Thank you for sharing appreciate it.
I think you need planning permission if extending towards the road, and presumably a porch would extend the front of the house? You could improve the appearance with new, wider steps and nice planting, but that won’t address the storage for you.
