Woodworm treatment gone wrong?

Hi guys. We’ve just had woodworm treatment applied in our attic and now brown patches are appearing on our ceilings. It seems like the treatment solution is leaking through. Is this normal/inevitable or have the service providers messed up when applying the liquid?

    It’s the tannin coming out of the timber which will dry in time but you will need to re-paint it and apply the relevant primer to prevent it showing through.
