Hi- we are replacing our 20 year old shaker kitchen cabinets with new painted solid wood doors. What colour scheme do you prefer

Ammonite and stiffkey blue with gold hardware OR
Ammonite and moles breath with chrome hardware

You cant know for how long the dark blue will still be around, it is trendy for some time already, and it will probably go out of style sooner or later. Vs the moles breath witch is more of a natural colour and is more likely to still work in years to come.

The colour would depend on lots of variants. Such as what’s on the floor? how much light is there? Do you have a splash back what’s the counter top? That said would you consider painting the island a feature colour? Such as ink blue or emerald green? It would make your island a feature. Good luck

Black is a notoriously hard colour to keep clean, especially in a kitchen area. I would suggest using a laminate, especially if you are going for a slab door. There are a variety of effects that may be suitable. It has the best advantages of being easy to clean and durable, avoid gloss colours if you are worried about scratch marks. Paint on the other hand will give a different effect, it depends on what you are trying to achieve. However paint will require maintenance, darker colours more regularly.

hi all, for the kitchen in a new contemporary build, I have narrowed it down to mussel coloured kitchen cabinets -handless matt acrylic (kithenstori.com ) together with white jasmine corian worktop. The floors are planned to be oak laminate and the window frames and doors white. I was wondering does anyone have mussel cabinets and do they have green undertones? What colour island will work well with mussel/jasmine white?

Ooh I can’t choose! Both are lovely but probably if I had to I would choose the Moles Breath. Earthy colours are really making a comeback.
