Bathroom, do floor tiles have to match wall tiles?

Hi, we are just about to do our bathroom and I would really like porcelain white washed wooden effect floor tiles, would also like marble effect hexagon wall tiles. Do you guys think they would go? Thanks-any pictures of anything similar would be great

Do you have images of the tiles? It isn’t easy trying to answer without samples.

The marble effect will be herringbone style on the walls and the wood effect would be on the floor, looking for a sort of luxe spa vibe. Thanks!

I spoke to a rep in the UK who confirmed the tiles are still current, but not available in UK or Ireland. I'll continue to try & speak to the manufacturer & hopefully it will come to a happy ending. I know I won't be 100% happy with anything else.

I'm pretty sure they will have been put in to provide a non-combustable zone behind and around the stove. We are about to install a wood burning stove and the installation instructions specify an area that needs to be heat resistant. Removing or even painting them behind the stove would be difficult and potentially dangerous. I would either paint the rest of the chimney breast a dark green to reduce the impact of the tiles, or add a fire surround (checking with the manufacturer or a reputable installer about clearance) and some painted tongue and groove cladding over the chimney breast depending on your preferred style.

I am back again. I decided against the tile originally proposed as the advice here was totally right, the tile had a strong pink/salmon tone. Thanks so much to everyone. I have been searching again and attached is what I am now thinking of going for. I think this tile is very neutral, should match a lot of colours, is warm and easy to keep. It should also match a modern kitchen. Opinions please!!!

Got the bath for free. Builder literally moved the wall frame to accommodate it. Concerned it looks ridiculous as its a tight squeeze so any ideas of what I can do to make this bath look ok in the room. I'm going to paint the tub a different colour. Don't say get rid of the bath cos it's not an option!!!

Love the marble tiles but I think the floor tiles are a little too rustic?

Yeah, I know what you mean, maybe a bigger version of the marble on the floor and the smaller herringbone style on the walls

I wonder whether a darker wood effect tile would work on the floor? Darker wood seems to create a more classy feel whereas the pale wood tiles (which are nice) seem more beachy.
