Chimney breast design, paint full wall or alcoves

We are decorating the living room, having a media wall on chimney breast I.e tv and new fire and are ripping the cupboards in the alcove out. I have seen a dulux heritage colour I would like 'dusted heather' but I want to know shoykd I paint the alcoves and chimney same colour or just the alcoves or just the chimney breast. Or should I wallpaper chimney or just paper alcoves?
