We have received building regulation drawings and specifications from our architect. We are wondering what to do next ? are these document enough to invite builders for tender? Do we really need to create tender document? Is it possible to get a sample of a tender document ? We are converting bungalow to a house with a back extension as well.
Yes, your architects should be able to help you with the tender. how detailed is the specification from the architects? as the more detailed it is, the more accurate the quote will be from the contractors. Make sure you checked whether you need to apply for planning as well.
Thanks @Eerospace Ltd , we have planning permissions. we have got technical design and building regs specs as well. I wanted to know if I can do tender documents myself or shall we get it from architect ?
Yes- in the current climate I'd recommend tender drawings (youll save money in the long run) then use the tender drawings and email/meet builders yourselves. The tender drawings should be highly detailed and specify materials/ construction and allow your builder to quote accurately.
