Help with wall colour in kitchen diner

Hi everyone, I’m new to Houzz and we just moved into a partially finished renovation project last Friday.
We have a lovely kitchen diner with a grey kitchen - dark grey cupboards, grey tiles marble work surface and grey laminate.
My husband and I are having discussions trying to choose a paint colour to go with the kitchen but not be too dark in the living room bit.
Any ideas on what colours might add warmth without being too daring (I’m more of a neutral girl myself) would be very welcome

A muted red or tan brown would offset the grey beautifully. maybe a wet plaster colour.

I would stick to white walls and add pops if colour with chairs/curtains/countertop decorations, etc. Any bright shade would look great, like lime green, bright orange, red, or teal perhaps?

1st impression carry the island until your a meter from the 1/2 bath wall. Make it a galley with all base cabinets as drawer bases. Do not try to turn the cabinets along the 1/2 bath wall. consider adding a raised bar of 47 cm with to the dining room side.

To begin designing a kitchen you draw the entire space to scale on a computer or on paper. Then place your appliances sink table chairs etc on the floor plan. You do this to understand if your ideas can even work the way you envision them. I would recommend using a kitchen designer. Working by yourselves, the kitchen design would be limited by your experience and abilities, and starting the process in the wrong order does not bode well. After the kitchen is designed then have several contractors come to give you bids and their input. This will save their time and make the bids lower and more accurate. After you have potential floor plans and have thought things through, this is when advice from Houzzers can be helpful. When the job is not completely thought out advice on Houzz can be dangerous. You will be encouraged to make decisions also not thought out and coments will seem valid no matter who is making them.

Thanks both, I’ll take a look at the wet plaster colour but I think I’m tending towards a white

Lovely as the greens are, they are not really warm. It also depends what light comes into the room and what aspect it faces. Pink does go nicely with grey, especially the soft dirty pinks like F&B Calamine or maybe Dulux Blush Pink? Otherwise a warm white may go well.
