What color tile grout?

Hi, we're re-tiling 2 bathrooms, both pretty small with showers. It's a small flat, so neither have windows, so no natural light. The flat is in Spain, so having vintage style floor tiles, just wondering what color grout to use. I guess the best would be like a darker off white, like the background color of the tiles, but I don't want it to get dirty after use and look awful. Or I don't want to create more cleaning than necessary for myself! You can see the floor tiles together for the pattern & then a photo with the wall tiles. What do you think?

I'm pretty sure they will have been put in to provide a non-combustable zone behind and around the stove. We are about to install a wood burning stove and the installation instructions specify an area that needs to be heat resistant. Removing or even painting them behind the stove would be difficult and potentially dangerous. I would either paint the rest of the chimney breast a dark green to reduce the impact of the tiles, or add a fire surround (checking with the manufacturer or a reputable installer about clearance) and some painted tongue and groove cladding over the chimney breast depending on your preferred style.

Got the bath for free. Builder literally moved the wall frame to accommodate it. Concerned it looks ridiculous as its a tight squeeze so any ideas of what I can do to make this bath look ok in the room. I'm going to paint the tub a different colour. Don't say get rid of the bath cos it's not an option!!!

Sarsheen, you've created a lovely classic kind of luxury Edwardian effect. Fab. I think that's when those moorish tiles came into vogue initially. To continue on the theme - you could try one of those nice (wood or chrome) towel stands, which can be moved around. (Like they have in London gentleman-club type bedrooms and country-house hotels.). If you got a wood one, you could echo this with a wood framed mirror, perhaps ? A big fern type plant that loves the damp would look glorious too!

Hi there! We think a white grout is probably your best option here, if you don't want it to look too busy. This is one of our hexagon mosaic tile displays we have in the TileStyle showroom and we have used white grout for this. As you can see, the shape of the tile is still very much visible but it's still a more subtle look that's not too busy.
