Wall-mounted TV - how to achieve no wires?

Hi!
I am planning to mount the TV on the wall of our new garage conversion but not sure what kit I need to make sure all wires are hidden.

We have Virgin TV so have a box which connects to the existing TV - I know we can hide some of the wires in the wall but how do we connect with the box?

Also, we need a bracket so we can rotate the TV - can anyone recommend a really slim, ‘elegant’ bracket?

We hung a tv on the wall of one of the bedrooms. It was done by an electrician and all the wires were chased into the wall except for the aerial and then plastered over by a plasterer. We got a bracket from Argos and it allows the tv to swing from side to side. However we don’t have any boxes with it. You may be better off with a tv unit rather than wall mounted?

Well good, I'm glad you like them. I watched a Sarah Richardson show once where they were rebuilding the wall where the tv would sit, and there was a small closet very nearby. They integrated all the wires and cables inside the wall and stored the media components in the small closet, so all you saw was the tv. It was great! Unfortunately, we don't all have the opportunity to rebuild a wall with a closet nearby so these cabinets are the best we can do.

At the moment all your stuff is concentrated at one side of he room making it cluttered and bare at the same time. Pictures need to go at eye height, so maybe get a simple shelf built above the sofa at eye height for some knick knacks. Somehow your pictures seem very high up on the wall. You could cluster them together above the sofa maybe? You can still have your mantel but with maybe a better-selected range of bits on it. Agree that some shelving might be good in the alcoves but not above the line of the top of those pictures. I would have gone for a much darker colour for the walls (like navy blue) because the sofa would have blended in a bit more and it would look luxurious against the dark background. Plus dark colours give your stuff an instant quality upgrade. (I always say it makes my sh*t look like stuff) Sorry that's unhelpful as you've obviously made those decisions!!

Your couch seems to face the fireplace, so I would suggest if you area able to chase the wiring to here, it would probably be the best bet. Don't go too high though, it should be as close to your eye level as possible when sitting. Harder to resolve will be the boxes for the TV, you may need to form a shelf in the side bay that can take these.

You could leave the piano where it is and mount the TV screen above it. (See MANY Houzz posts about how to determine the best height for a TV.) Build a shelf or cabinet from the piano area to the alcove to keep cords and accessories for your electronics hidden. A charging station in the alcove area would keep things from getting knocked down. Maybe credenza-type cabinets to the height of the piano. A combination of shelving and cabinets above the credenza will be determined by what you will store low and what you will store higher up.

We did exactly the same as Sonia in our kitchen. Electrician chased plaster out, plasterer replastered and we mounted it on a bracket from Amazon. Again no boxes.
