Wall colour help

Hi, having a shaker kitchen installed. It's indigo with copper/rose gold handles and white quartz worktop/upstand/cooker splashback. Appliances are stainless steel.
My light fittings (pendant over peninsula & bay where sink is housed) are copper/rose gold.
I don't want a 'bold' colour on the walls but no idea what colour to attempt...a blue/a green? A blush pink? Kitchen flows through to a small dining area, which will have a round dining table/4 chairs and then through again to a snug. Will be looking to furnish snug eventually and had thought going for an indigo coloured sofa - would this be wise ? Thanks!

Id recommemd white to be honest. The kitchen colour will pop out better and not ' fight' with the indigo. Thrn i would add other complementarity or contrasting colours through the sofa the cushions the rugs etc

I would consider a crisp cool white, or a pinkish white, just not a warm white. Have you any photos?

Thank you for your suggestions and ideas! I love some of the more daring/colourful ideas, but I don't think I'm, personally, bold enough to go with such a contemporary look. I'm going to stick to a traditional/modern style and use large (4" x 8") white subway tiles and dark grey grout. I'm thinking of using a dark grey paint around the kitchen walls and then a lighter shade around the rest of the room, with maybe the dark grey on the wall behind the TV too. Will be a few more weeks before that's all done, but I'll post a picture when I eventually get there. Thanks again!

Hi Maria. It's a lovely kitchen and I must admit I like the white so would probably change the accessories. I would add a huge sunburst clock or mirror above the cabinets (can't work out if it's a clock or mirror above the fire). Add a statement light over the table. Try a coloured splashback behind the cabinets. Add some coloured stools. I would say paint the kitchen chairs but I can see they are good quality! If you do want to paint then either blues, violets or even a very soft grey if you add some coloured accesories. Do make sure the colour blends with the lounge though as you can obviously see through.

Thank you, Stan, for your advice. I was contemplating putting a similar light like yours above the cabinet, but decided I prefer lights on either side, as there is a lot of space which I'd like to fill a little. I will also put them on top of tiles, so another point to consider. The ones I had chosen only protrude 90 mm from the wall, so I wonder if they should protrude at least the same as the cabinet, which is 150 mm, to illuminate the face, when putting on make up or in general. Here is a picture of the lights I really liked...and another one in a room situation ( not my bathroom), but they are next to a mirror with minimal depth. I like them a lot, but am open to other options, just wondered about projection.

Thanks, no photos yet as not installed. Just doing 'all' the planning and thinking ahead. Knowing which white is really helpful, thanks!
