I have a room measuring 11m 74cm in length and 3m 95cm in width with a very large bay window. Im hoping to create a light and airy kitchen/ diner but would love a butlers pantry. Is this feasible
plenty of room i'd say! i'd stick it in the bottom end behind a wall of tall units for the kitchen (fridge, freezer, oven tower, pantry) and then have base units only along the wall facing bay window (to keep it bright and airy and maximise the width of the room as much as possible). then the bay window could be a lovely built-in seated area for table, or there's space for an island and then the bay window becomes circulation space. the top end looks like glass all the way round? so assuming dining table would go there - but if you did the window seat and table then that could be seating area instead.
I like that idea, my concern is walking through the kitchen, ie if I taking hot food from the oven tower to place it on the island somone could open the door on you.
Is there enough room to make an L-shaped kitchen facing the door as you come in? Or to have a pensinula parallel with the tall units, rather than more units down the left hand wall? So the kitchen would contained at the bottom end (with pantry behind)?
Our kitchen door is always open so never an issue regarding door being opened onto someone. And with almost 4m width you can have the ovens at the furthest away unit to minimise accidents with hot dishes. Or you could have ovens in base units either on the long run or in the island if it's a realy concern.
I see that you have doubts with the distribution of your space, to begin with, it is important to define your needs, a good study will allow you to take better advantage of the space and the passageways, that everything is connected.
I invite you to look at some of my 3D.
If you are interested in continuing to deepen and you want me to help you create a space made to measure, and your needs, you can write to me at:
My MIL's space looks similar to yours (no chimney breast though).
Her layout is very similar to one of @colourwisedesign ideas, her oven is on a bank of tall units just to the back left of this photo and she uses the trivets to place any food directly on the island, to prevent the type of accident you were mentioning above.
Also, she's had a low breakfast table built in the shape of the bay window, that could also work in your space.
