Hi please help. Have 2 bathroom fitters potentially. 1 swears by Wedi, the other won't touch with a bargepole as says it lifts after a couple of years. Any comments that can support my dilemma?
Have never even heard of Wedi and our company supplies bathroom boards. I have just looked at them online and based on the price of a board in comparison to what we sell I wouldn’t give it the time of day.
You get what you pay for. We sell Bushboard Nuance and that is a quality board. If you Google the price differences it might help you make a decision based on the product quality.
I (fitter to my spec) lined out our old bathroom with Wedi 10+ years ago and no issues, tiles on top - nothing moved and as far as I can tell nothing got behind it. Mainly used over the boxing in work to waterproof.
I must have seen it on some TV/self build sort of show at the time.
