Help needed with kerb appeal!

Hello all,
I want my home to have more kerb appeal. Currently the top half of the property is rendered and painted as a mock tudor. To remove the render would be too expensive and risk damage to the bricks so options are limited to repainting only. The bottom half of the exterior is painted white with white UPVC windows and doors. I plan on having the front garden block paved. Any help would be appreciated.

You have advised that you are going to be paving, it would be a shame to not incude some garden beds as greenery can be so inviting even if it is just some box hedging along the front wall.
You might want to look around for bin covers - nifty structures to tidy up all the bins we seem to have.

I think there is already kerb appeal here! We can't see from the pic what is going on with the rest of the street but your house looks in good nick! You've said the mock tudor is staying so I'd be tempted to paint the upvc window surrounds black as well and then add a window box or hanging basket or maybe train a clematis or other climbing plant up round the door. Move the bins to the right hand side, as previous comment suggests maybe look at a bin store (timber? Painted black? Maybe even with a green roof to attract pollinators) And add some planting as well as paving. Then you could paint the door a jolly colour if you wanted to liven things up. You can do a lot with a small space to encourage wildlife and I think adding some planting will soon up the monochrome. Good luck!

Flowers in those flower boxes would be a good start, and then I'd tear out the conctrete or whatever the surface is next to the house and extend the driveway further out, closer to the camera, to make up for lost driveway space. The down spout must be removed from he driveway. The steps up to the house seem to be a confused assembly of different materials and should be reformed into a cohesive entry stairway, with plantings flanking it, or pots of greenery/flowers on it. The garage seems to be a different color from the house and if that is the came, I would change it echo the colors of the house. In the foreground of the photo is an opportunity for some beautiful landscaping. You have your work cut out for you, but nothing that you couldn't do over the next 3 months!

Hi nick. Thanks. Yes, i have come to that realisation after being told it by everyone i speak to! So looking at hedging or other ideas for the side fences then shrubs / plants / flowers for the main parts. I'd be interested innyour ideas. On the other side if the fence, if you mean the road side, the footpath is right up against the fence. I'd say the footpath is maybe 1.5m wide, maybe a bit more.

Do not paint the brick!! It's part of the homes appeal and its style. Change up the stucco color to a warm gray as well as paint the fascia boards a more appealing color also (deeper charcoal or similar) a grayed green would be another option for the stucco. As long it all works with both the roof shingle and the brick these are colors worth looking at. Another option for just the gable end would be cement board shingle (Hardieboard or similar) if you want a change from stucco.

I like your house. It’s interesting and pretty. I would concentrate on putting the bins in a storage area, and then add some planting. A climbing rose would look so pretty.
