So I’m currently redecorating the living room and I’m going to get a teal drum light but I’m not sure what size. I want it to be quite big but I don’t want it to overwhelm the room because it is quite dark in there since it is north facing. The room is 365cmx360cm. Thanks in advance.
My general instinct would be to work with low level and indirect lighting, ie. table lamps and floor lamps, ideally all on a dimmer. Large statement lights work great in large rooms but since this is on the smaller side I would accentuate the cosiness. A large pendant can still look great but may just not be practical in terms of sight lines. Do you have photos of the room?
