Please sense check my idea before we finalise plans with architect and start getting quotes from builders.
For various reasons that make sense in my head we are planning to have just a walk in shower in family bathroom upstairs (this is the current situ) plus convert the back of the garage into a downstairs bathroom with wc, sink and bath. I plan for this to be just a bath (no shower above).
I was thinking it will.make downstairs feel more like a luxury destination rather than a functional shower space....but people seem to pull their face at the idea.
We have 2 young kids and plan to stay in this house through the teenage years. Am I crazy to stick to only having 1 shower?
