Ready made wardrobes or fitted?

Hi, recently renovated my Victorian home. Need some ideas whether to go with generic wardrobes or have them fitted.

If budget allows go bespoke made to measure. They’re not cheap but you can configure them internally as you wish. I had mine fitted right to the top so no dust trap, and more internal storage. These are mine but please excuse the rubbish picture!

Adding width BEHIND THE BED - with a headboard (which doesn't have to be a "headboard"; it could be fabric, collection of mirrors, collection of pictures, a farm gate!, small chairs or stools) across the entire width. Matching bedside tables/bookcases/chests/ with LAMPS - useful storage for extra books, extra bedding, etc. CURTAINS always warm up a room. People will always feel colder away from home - provide an extra blanket or duvet to add to the bed. I notice there is no WARDROBE. Not really necessary for overnight guests (provide hooks on the back of the door) but useful for storing your out-of-season coats, etc. There is plenty of room behind the door. Buy one on eBay and paint it to suit your colour scheme.

Hi, This gray silk is one of our best sellers and works really well with Farrow & Ball Pavilion Gray in either a blind or curtains (ready made and made to measure available). Silk adds a luxurious feel which I think is always nice in a bedroom. I would then add colour in the accessories such as yellow which is very popular at the moment. Go for a beige upholstered headboard, white bedding, beige throw & some feature cushions that have the beige & grey in them. Another option is to paint the walls to a similar shade as the wardrobe so it blends in. I would be careful what you do for furniture, possibly steer clear of too much more timber

I really only need the sliding doors I think as I have the body of the wardrobe well worked out I have ended up with needing 6ft by 6ft sliding doors and a few accessories for inside as I already had the poles and my husband is a chippy so he helped me with the body of it. Can you still help me, I hope so.

I think fitted offer a higher quality finish but I’m sure a lot of the “trending” designs seemed to be moving back towards a more freestanding option.

I think with the right wardrobes both can look fantastic, just depends on room size, style and layout.

My wardrobes were by Sharpes, not cheap by any means but the fitter was fantastic and did a very high end finish. Mind cost £3500.

Seems like a mammoth task that the moment dont know where to start. I know ikea do fitted wardrobes where you can pick and choose what you need.
I have 5 bedrooms to do so cost will be a big factor.
