We have a small patio area which is too shady to be of much use as a seating area so would like to knock through the kitchen wall to create a little dining room. Then have french doors between the kitchen and new dining room. But, we don’t want to lose light in what is currently our back room, which at the moment is a bright sunny room. Is a conservatory our only option or could a large roof light and patio doors be just as effective?
