I think patterned tiles or vilyl on a kitchen floor look amazing. And since your wall tiles are single colour, the patterned floor will bring in light and freshness. I'd go for a white/grey/blue combo like the ones in the pictures below, I think they would really tie the room together.
I’m thinking of practicality. It is amazing how quickly a kitchen floor can look dirty. The patterned tiles above would be good for this.
I chose oak boards in a distressed finish for mine, it was this or a light ceramic tile. I’ve never regretted it, the boards never look dirty ( the ceramic bathroom tiles as chosen do however take time to keep clean and show every piece of hair).
