Strongest glue for glass bannister?

We have a glass bannister that is stuck into the wood with glue or silicone. It doesn't have bolts or screws, only glue/silicone. It is now 3 years old and is shaking a lot more than it used to which is very worrying. Does anyone have advice on the strongest clear glue that will hold it firmly in place?

I use Unibond No More Nails. The 'Invisible' one dries clear, but not sure if it can be used with glass. An alternative is https://www.screwfix.com/p/evo-stik-sticks-like-sh-t-adhesive-clear-290ml/57252

If your not using any brackets to keep the glass in place can you make a groove in the base rail and handrail to hold it in place?
