Hi all, we have Amtico flooring downstairs, but carpet on the stairs and throughout upstairs (except for the bathroom). We are having a loft conversion/dormer extension done at the moment and will have another lot of stairs going in up to the loft. We will be replacing the carpet but wondering whether to have flooring throughout now (won’t be able to afford Amtico throughout, will need to be an alternative) including up in the loft and keeping the stairs uncarpeted, or having wood for the stairs and landing, and have carpet just in the bedrooms. Was thinking about maybe a stair runner but although these look nice I think will be more maintenance. Any thoughts please Houzzers? Thanks
